Inspired by personal experiences, fine artist Judith Jaffe creates visionary, multihued Surrealist and Expressionist paintings of landscapes, dramatic family scenes, mysterious still lifes, and depictions of women and feminine figures in various settings. Using traditional and experimental media, she produces paintings in acrylic and oil, often incorporating mixed media and collage into her artwork. Her body of work is a personal narrative and is informed by her practice of drawing from life; Judith creates works on paper using watercolor, graphite, pastel and various printmaking techniques such as transfers and monotypes to explore her artistic process.
